Carjacker Caught as the Alleged Thieves Couldn’t Get Things in Gear A Cleveland man who has been accused of carrying out three carjackings in a 10-day period was arrested because he couldn’t drive a stick. Police said that 18-year-old Damari Wayne stole three cars at gunpoint between Feb. 11 through Feb. 21. According to reports, two of those armed carjackings occurred on Feb. 21, one hour after posting bond. The police report shows that Wayne was arrested on Feb. 12 after he allegedly stole a 2004 Acura the day before. Then, according to the NewsNet5.com, on Feb. 21, hours after posting a $10,000 bond for the Feb. 11 carjacking, Wayne and his 15-year-old accomplice committed two other carjackings. In the first of the two carjackings, the teen allegedly put an Airsoft gun to the right side of a 40-year-old woman forcing her to leave her 2015 Jeep Cherokee. They threw the woman’s shoes out of the vehicle, but kept the purse. NESN said then a short time later, the 13-year-old approached a 23-year-old man sitting in a Ford Mustang and threatening to shoot him if he did not get out of his vehicle. Wayne, who was hiding nearby, grabbed both the man’s wallet and cellphone from the center console. Now, this is where things get sticky. Wayne and his young accomplice realized that the car they were allegedly attempting to carjack had a manual transmission, and neither of them knew how to drive a stick. According to reports (Cleveland.com), the carjackers allegedly made the car owner tell them how to work the gears while threatening him with the weapon, but after their failed attempt to drive away with the car, they fled with only the victim’s cellphone. Authorities used that cellphone to track them to a nearby train station. Wayne was charged with three counts of aggravated robbery and is being held, this time on a $100,000 bond, according to Cleveland.com. No information was given on the underaged accomplice. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Gunslinging Woman Chases Drone After It Starts Filming Her Home Was the drone violating her privacy? Dramatic video reportedly taken by a drone last week in Washington state appears to show a woman trying to shoot the device out of the sky after it flew way too close to her home for her liking. The 35-second YouTube video that has since gone viral shows the woman first throws items at the pesky drone before going inside and returning with what looks like a firearm. Public Information Officer Seth Tyler said that although the drone’s camera is clearly focused on the woman’s home, no criminal offense was committed, since they were flying in a public area. In addition, regarding any voyeurism laws being broken, Officer Tyler says that the homeowner did not have a reasonable expectation of privacy because her window curtains were open. As for the weapon she was seen holding, Tyler said it was a pellet gun and that she didn’t fire it. Jeramie Scott, who serves as national security counsel for the Electronic Privacy Information Center, a nonprofit research organization that specializes in government and commercial use of drones, didn’t entirely agree that the woman’s privacy wasn’t being violated. Though the video may be entertaining, it also serves as a reminder that when flying a drone, it’s generally a good idea to respect people’s personal boundaries. In America, the Peeping Tom laws address voyeurism, but according to Jeramie Scott, they don’t necessarily go far enough to address what’s happened (in this instance). Just because the drone was able to peer into her home from a potentially public vantage point, doesn’t mean that that individual didn’t have a reasonable expectation of privacy that was violated.” Scott suggested that without stricter laws against such acts, drone users “may feel more emboldened given that they can remain in a position of immunity.” ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sex Doll Brothel Opens In Barcelona as Industry Introduces “Realistic, Robotic” Sex Partners In the first known brothel of its kind, a Barcelona establishment is offering erotic sessions with sex dolls only. With the Harmony AI, they will be able to actually create these personalities instead of having to imagine them. McMullen envisions that Harmony AI will have interactive conversations that will blossom into a “learning” about owners over time. An experience with Harmony AI will not necessarily be limited to simply having sex. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Would you have your body frozen then crushed into dust to save the environment? So you probably haven’t given much thought to how to best decompose your corpse. Luckily a Swedish scientist has seriously thought about it and she has developed a tech solution for an environmentally friendly burial. Imagine a machine that will take your lifeless corpse and make you both clean and useful compost within a matter of months. Swedish biologist Susanne Wiigh-Mäsak spent three years making, perhaps, the most ingeniously green crematorium on earth. You simply pop the remains of your dead relative into the machine. The corpse is then extracted from the coffin and put to freeze. Then it gets vibrated until it turns into dust, and finally gets mixed into a sack of potatoes or corn starch. A video is shown detailing the process. It is no surprise that Wiigh-Mäsak is both a gardener and a scientist. She was motivated by a concern for the damage done to the soil by burial. Wiigh-Mäsak said that the body will be cryogenically frozen with liquid nitrogen at -196°C before being vibrated, freeze dried and having ‘metals’ removed from the remains. The freeze drying removes 70 per cent of the liquid so that the corpse looks more like compost. According to Wiigh-Mäsak’s company, Promessa, which is based in Gothenburg, our corpses can never turn into good soil without the process. When asked whether it was respectful to the body Wiigh-Mäsak says that Promessa is the most clean, dignified and respectful way to treat a human body. Promessa does not feel that the body should be disposed of, instead it should be well taken care of. They believe that our remains should be gifted back to nature, not to be buried or burned. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ordering Pizza as Easy as a Touch of the Tongue on your Pie Tops Mobile apps have made it easier than ever to order pizza at the touch of a button. But how would you like to be able to order pizza with the tap of a toe? Well, in honor of March Madness, Pizza Hut has debuted a new ad campaign centered on a pair of high-top sneakers or Pie Tops, as they are calling them. These sneakers can order pies at the push of a button. Each pair of shoes reportedly contains a Bluetooth device that syncs up with the Pizza Hut mobile app. This would allow users to order a pre-selected pizza (or the default Supreme Pizza) just by pressing on the shoe’s tongue. The sneakers are also fitted with geo-location technology that allows delivery men to find customers wherever they are. David Daniels, who is Pizza Hut’s vice president of media and advertising, said that it is always important for fans to have the ease of ordering the Pizza Hut pizza they love, without missing a moment of the March Madness action. According to Daniels, Pizza Hut knows that pizza is a fan favorite during the NCAA College Basketball Tournament. Daniels admits that their special-edition Pie Tops are a culturally-timed creative expression of their commitment to providing the easiest pizza-ordering and delivery experience possible. Daniel warns, however, that die-hard pizza/sneaker fans shouldn’t get their hopes up about snagging a pair. In an interview with Ad Age, Daniels said the company will only be giving away 64 pairs of their new Pie Tops and that very few of those will find their way to the general public. According to Daniels, the bulk of these pizza-ordering sneakers will go to influencers [and] media, just to create buzz and talk value, while a select few Pizza Hut super-fans will get the opportunity to receive a pair of these custom Pie Top high-top tennis shoes. The goal is to promote Pizza Hut’s improved online ordering system. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ For complete http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/damari-wayne-carjacking-stickshift_us_58bdf053e4b033be1467f2dd?section=us_weird-news http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/woman-shoots-at-drone_us_58bd6225e4b0b9989418c1ca?section=us_weird-news http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/sex-doll-barcelona-brothel_us_58b8ad10e4b0d2821b4cddb8?section=us_weird-news http://metro.co.uk/2017/03/06/would-you-have-your-body-frozen-then-crushed-into-dust-to-save-the-environment-6490496/ http://www.foxnews.com/food-drink/2017/03/02/pizza-hut-debuts-pie-top-sneakers-capable-ordering-pizzas.html
